Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE:TM) has launched a new petrol variant of its D segment Corolla Altis in India, to be sold through its Indian subsidiary Toyota Kirloskar Motors.
This cheaper 1.8 GHV is priced at 13.76 lakh (US$27,000).
The company has dropped some luxury features in order to reduce the price.
Toyota Motor Corporation (NYSE:TM) said that the new vehicle features a seven speed automotive gearbox, 1.8 liter petrol engine, touchscreen DVD console, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The new Altis also has a range of safety features, including being bomb proof.
